    Damodar Kunda has been opened for all the trekkers and pilgrimage foreigners in the year of 2002. Generally, Damodar Kunda Trek is combined with Upper Mustang Trek. It is located in the north of Mt. Annapurna range in 4890 m elevation. Damodar Kunda is a small lake which is famous among Hindu and Buddhist religious pilgrims as a holy destination. People believe the fossils stone called Saligram comes out of this pond. August is the best time to visit Damodar Kunda since there is a big festival held there every year and people visited the lake mostly in the same month. Beside August, the visit can be planned from April to September of each year for trekking.

    Trekking to Rolwaling usually starts with an eight hour drive to Charikot from Kathmandu and takes you along the path to Tashi Lapcha.
