Overview of Everest Mini Trek

Everest region is famous for its wilderness adventure. However, climbing Everest becomes the target of the many trekkers from and around the globe every year.  Everest Mini Trek offers a chance to encounter the Himalayan beauty. Furthermore, it offers the chance to see a close-up view of Mt. Everest. In addition to this, this trek is a wonderful opportunity to experience the festival of local Sherpa people in their traditional attire.

Highlights of Everest Mini Trek

  • Trek up to the base of the top of the world, Everest Base Camp (5364m) and Kalapatthar (5643m) – majestic viewpoint
  •  Himalayan Panorama and magnificent views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Nuptse
  •  Sherpa culture of Lukla, Phakding, Namche, Khumjung, Tengboche and more…

Everest Mini Trek starts from Lukla and the trail follows Phakding to Namche Bazaar. The ancient village of Tengboche is the next camp of the trek. Since Tengboche is popular for its peace and tranquillity, none of the trekkers pass without visiting this monastery.  A famous festival like Mani Rimdu is celebrated here. The same festival adds beauty to make the region more vigorous.

The itinerary recommends a day of acclimatization in Namche Bazaar to minimize the risk of high altitude sickness. This trek leads us to Tengboche since it is the final point of the Everest Mini trek.  You can further have a chance to observe Sherpa people organize their festival on the basis of the Tibetan Lunar Calendar. The festival of Mani Rimdu occurs in the month of October or November.

Everest Mini Trek is suitable for those who are more conscious of high altitude sickness as well as for those who are not confident to go up to Kalapatthar. Kalapatthar is the major viewpoint of the Everest trek. In addition to this, Kalapathar is the best point to see the close-up view of Mt. Everest and other neighboring mountain peaks.
