When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of Oriental Journeys’ staff will greet you with your name card and drive you to your accommodation. You will receive a briefing regarding hiking preparation and the equipment you will need at the hotel. While in Kathmandu, you may participate in a variety of activities. The journey begins with a visit to Pashupatinath, a sacred site. The positive vibes in the air make the day feel more energizing. Then we cross Jorsalle village and ascend through the trees and across bridges till we reach the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi river confluence. We see Mount Everest for the first time after a two-hour difficult hike. We take a break in Chautara and admire the beauty of Mt. Everest. After that, you’ll ascend through a lush Juniper woodland. This is the day’s final and toughest ascent; after you reach the top, you’ll be in Dingboche. Today you have an early flight back to Kathmandu. This is a very stunning flight with spectacular views of snow-capped mountains. After arriving in Kathmandu, you will relax at a comfortable hotel before seeing the tourist district of Thamel.
After having breakfast, you will be dropped at Tribhuvan International Airport to catch the scheduled flight if you are departing. If you are planning for the next trip, you can join the next trip.
Normally, the trek completes within 12 days. It takes 8 days to get to base camp and four days to get back down. However, based on the pace of the walk, time availability and physical fitness, the itinerary can be customized.
The total length of the Everest Base Camp trek is approx. 130km (round trip). However the trek seems quite long, but to consider it in a typical guided trek one has to walk actually the 9-10 days out of the 15 days. On average the distance one covers in a day is around 14 km per day. In the sense, Everest Base Camp Trek is not a much difficult walk.

After having breakfast, you will be dropped at Tribhuvan International Airport to catch the scheduled flight if you are departing. If you are planning for the next trip, you can join the next trip.
Normally, the trek completes within 12 days. It takes 8 days to get to base camp and four days to get back down. However, based on the pace of the walk, time availability and physical fitness, the itinerary can be customized.
The total length of the Everest Base Camp trek is approx. 130km (round trip). However the trek seems quite long, but to consider it in a typical guided trek one has to walk actually the 9-10 days out of the 15 days. On average the distance one covers in a day is around 14 km per day. In the sense, Everest Base Camp Trek is not a much difficult walk.
The best trekking season starts from mid-September to mid-December in Nepal. The best months to trek to the Everest region are pre-monsoon (February, March, April, and May) and the post-monsoon (Late September, October, November, and December), especially in Everest Base camp.
