Nepal plans to resume domestic and international flights from August 17 announces Nepal. A press statement was released by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation on June 17 that it was planning to resume all domestic and international flights from August 17. The government has already directed the concerned aviation authorities and departments. They will make necessary preparations for the resumption of domestic and international flights starting August 17.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nepal has suspended all passenger flights. The suspension followed the enforcement of the nationwide lockdown on March 24, 2020. The
The official also confirms that it has already prepared the necessary guidelines to resume domestic and international flights. The guidelines are prepared as per the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Authority Nepal and the World Health Organization.
The operation guidelines include standard health and safe distancing measures. However, the resumption plan would also depend on the behavior of the COVID-19 virus. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation will enforce the resumption plan in proper coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population.

Some of the tourist hotels of Pokhara and Kathmandu have published their new tariff with discounted prices. In the first phase, the hotelier intends to attract domestic tourists. The operation procedure should follow the Post COVID-19 protocol. This will ensure the hygiene and the health safety of the traveler. The tourism industry hopes to move towards revival after the domestic and international flight operations.
