A short 6 Days Helambu Trekking is an exclusive tour of Hyalmo valley. Helambu is a small but beautiful mountain village nearby the Langtang mountain range. The village of Helambu has historical recognition for organic agricultural products. Products like radish, potato, apple farms, and charming people are special attractions. The trail of 6 Days Helambu Trekking leads to Helambu Village residing in a beautiful terrain of northern Nepal.
The trail is popular for scenic mountain views, greenery, and diverse flora and fauna. Trekking to the Helambu is one of the most popular short hiking that begins in Kathmandu. The trek is easy as well with flexible departure and trek days. As the trekking itinerary skips an exposure to the high altitude, it is best suited for all age groups. The beginners also can complete the trek without any sweat.
The trail crosses various settlements on the way. Diverse ethnicity, lifestyle, and local activities add excitement to your journey. Shivapuri National Park welcomes you on the first day of your hiking. Being an important watershed area for the valley’s drinking water, it is well protected to conserve wildlife. Chisopani, on the other side of the National Park, is a small settlement with few lodges. It serves as a beautiful viewpoint to observe the long range of the mountain on the northern horizon.
Later, the trail leads to the twisted river, ridges, and woods. It passes monasteries, settlements, and beautiful viewpoints before reaching the Helambu Village.
Living at the base of the pristine Himalayas range, Helambu village is a charming mountain destination. It is accessible after a short hike from Kathmandu. Helambu is popular for the legendary charming people and Himalayan agricultural products. The region has successfully preserved the Buddhist culture and unique tradition through its well-managed monasteries. The monasteries of the region play a significant role in the Tamang Buddhism of Nepal. They have a special connection with Tibetan Buddhism. Thus, the local lifestyle and unique traditions make Helambu a special tourism destination.
Relative to other classical trekking destinations of Nepal, 6 Days Helambu trekking is less crowded. Trekkers can hike the trail with a short itinerary or on longer vacations for the same destination.
We design a tailor-made itinerary for the Helambu trekking based on your requirement. We present the short program of 6 Days of hiking to match the requirement of people with limited days of their vacation. A customized short Helambu trek itinerary best suits the small and private groups.

The lodge/homestay provides dinner and breakfast for their guest. The menu comprises bread, potatoes, noodles, rice, pasta, and some Indian and continental dishes as common items. Since the trail is less visited, you might have to expect limited items to order. Dal Bhat is the most common dish available throughout the trail. It is a heavy Nepali dish that suits if you are much hunger. Your guide and porters may prefer to eat Dal Bhat (lentil and rice) twice a day. Dal Bhat includes curry and sometimes pickles. The vegetables are seasonal, fresh, and organic.

The first day of the trek begins with a short drive from your accommodation to Sundarijal, a trekking trailhead near Shivapuri Nagarjuna National Park. It is a pleasant hike that leads to Chisapani along the crest of a hill.
The day begins with a steep flight of stairs descending along a sparse woodland, after waking up to stunning vistas of snowcapped mountains and plunging valleys. Along the way, the route leads to Pati Bhanjyang, another Tamang town. Along a winding route, you eventually reach Chipling and then Thotundanda. As you progress through this segment, you will reach Kutumsang. Stay the night at Kutumsang.
Begin your day with a beautiful view of the valley below as you begin out on a route to the highest point of your trip, Thadepati pass (3650m). The snow-laden route farther down the trail to Mangengoth challenges us with an increasing volume of snow. One thing is certain: stunning vistas of the magnificent mountain range await you as you go on yet another long walk up to Thadepati pass. Stay at Thadepati for the night.
On the most challenging day of the walk, you descend a dizzying path with the valley far below. Melamchi Gaon is reached after walking through a deep forest of towering, moss-covered trees. After crossing the Melamchi Khola through a wooden suspension bridge, start the difficult ascent to Tarke Ghyang on wooden battened stairs. Tarke Ghyang is the largest Sherpa settlement in the Helambu region, and it is home to some of the most beautiful monasteries. Tarkeghyang is a good place to spend the night.
The route winds through thick dense forests before skirting around the valley, passing by the remote Sherpa settlement of Ghangyul. We enter the apple-growing region as we progressively descend towards Sermathang. Helambu is well-known for its apple production, which is among the best in Nepal. We ultimately arrive at Sermathang, another well-known Sherpa hamlet in this region. Stay at Sermathang for the night.
After completing the Helambu area hike, we descend to Melamchi Pul Bazaar, where we hitch a taxi back to Kathmandu. You may either take a Jeep at Shermathang and drive directly to Kathmandu, or you can hike to Melamchi Pul Bazaar. On the route, stop to welcome locals and observe their way of life. Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu. Celebrate your trek’s achievement in the evening.
