    once-in-a-lifetime experiences

What a wonderful journey. Oriental Journeys is highly recommended by me! They planned every aspect of our ten-day Annapurna Circuit Trek, including airport pickup, transportation, meals, and nightly accommodations. Just that would have warranted a five-star rating! But our guide and porter's generosity and help were really what elevated the whole experience. Anil, our tour guide, answered all of our questions with such patience. We really appreciate the staff and also acquired a lot of Nepali terms.

Dear Emily,We're thrilled to hear that you had a positive experience with us. Providing top-notch service is our priority, and it's incredibly rewarding to know that we've met your expectations.

I have just completed the 15 days Annapurna circuit trek with Oriental Journeys. Annapurna Circuit Trek is the round Annapurna trek and the highest point is Throng La Pass. I went to the trek with my best friend and he has not done such a big trek eve before. I was pretty nervous about him. But due to the professional and well- prepared guide, we have the confidence to do this trek. Our guide Layu was really good. He cares us all way round and made us feel safe and excited every day. We both are vegan and Layu went beyond and above to confirm that we have proper foods. He was very friendly and we could share every difficulty with him. He was also funny and made us fun during the trekking. We took many photos in the Himalayas with a safe trek. Therefore, Oriental Journeys was the best choice ever and I can’t wait to hopefully have another adventure with them soon.

I and my best friend did Annapurna circuit trek during Monsoon season. We were interested but quite afraid of the rain since we knew that we were travelling in the monsoon season. Luckily, it did not rain much and we were fine. Some lodges were closed therefore, we had to walk 2 days plan in 1 day for the accommodation. We were so tired but fortunately, the sky was clear and we get great views in Larke Pass. Our guide was very helpful and friendly. We learned a ton from him. He was a humorous character and he made us laughed all way round. Our porter Sanjay was also good and he carried our belongings up the mountain with the positive energy. Together, our group was outstanding and perfect. Machhindra cared us a lot when we were on the trek. He called us every day and asked us about any difficulty. He shows his professionalism and caring nature to us always. I will definitely back to Nepal for another beautiful trek with Oriental Journeys again.

It was happy trekking with Anil. He is a nice guy with a smiling nature. Thank you for taking care of us every day. He was available whenever necessary. Sanjay was a good person and friend more than a porter. We hope to see you soon in future for our next trip to Nepal. Thank you.

I along with my husband chose Round Annapurna treks and it was amazing. Our guide was very experienced and knowledgeable. The foods during the teahouse trek were good and the accommodation was adequate. If you are looking forward to seeing something differently, you can choose the Annapurna circuit trek. We have enjoyed the lush green forest to the snow-capped mountains. I feel quite difficult reaching to Throng La Pass but due to the experienced guide, we did it without any complication. Thank you Oriental Journeys for this beautiful trek. I hope to visit again on a different trek!

Why 10 Days Short Annapurna Circuit Trek?

The short Annapurna Circuit Trek is designed for people with limited time. It includes all the services and experience that you can have during the standard Annapurna Round trekking. You will have your flexible time in Kathmandu and Pokhara before and after the trekking program.

How hard is Thorong La Pass?

You will have a proper acclimatization at Manang village as a preparation for Thorong La (5416m ) pass. Before crossing the Thorong La Pass, there are two camps called Thorong Phedi (4,500m) and  High Camp (4,800m). You will have your last night at High Camp before crossing ThorongLa. The climb is gradual but being a high pass, you begin early. We recommend adding extra soups and adequate water with your diet to keep the body hydrated throughout the trip.

Is it dangerous to go to Annapurna Circuit Trek?

Begin your trip with proper gear. Keep informed about the weather forecast and consult frequently with your guide to ensure all your safety. Thorung-La (5416m) is one of the highest passes. The descending section of the trail might be slippery due to hard ice. A careful walk with your group helps to be safe. The crossing day will be a long day walk and you might get more tired relative to other days. Risk assessment and preparedness are the most essential aspects of the Annapurna Circuit Trek.

How much does it cost for Annapurna Circuit Trek?

The cost may vary depending on your spending behavior. However, a standard cost of US$100 per day will be enough to trek the Annapurna Circuit trek. It includes, the shared transportation and necessary permits, food and accommodation along the trail.

What kind of training and experience required to go for Annapurna Circuit Trek?

Basically, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is a gradual ascent to one of the highest pass. It will be better to have an experience of high altitude hiking. Otherwise, you will have a day of time to acclimatize at Manang. A day of acclimatization is generally enough for the Annapurna Round trek. No specific training is required for this trek. However, we recommend to keep on practicing for hiking with before coming for trek.

What are the accommodation facilities during the Annapurna circuit tour?

You can expect a 3-star accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara. It includes a twin sharing room with breakfast. However, teahouse lodges are the standard accommodation during the trek days. We provide the best available rooms. The accommodation includes beds with a mattress, a pillow, and a warm blanket. Optionally, you can carry your own sleeping bag to enjoy the sweet dream.

What kinds of Meals and foods are available during the trek?

All the teahouse lodges of Annapurna Circuit trail have attached restaurant. You are highly recommended to use the restaurant in the same lodge that you will be staying. The lodge owner charges a minimum amount of money for the accommodation. So, it is advisable to consume your dinner and breakfast at the same lodge. The food menu includes Pasta, Breads, tuna bakes, noodles, potatoes, eggs, Dal Bhat, soups, fresh seasonal vegetables. Generally, meals are vegetarian. The trip includes all your meals unless mentioned otherwise.

Can I charge my extra batteries and electric gadgets during the trip?

The lodge of Annapurna Circuit trek provides charging outlets for your extra batteries and electric gadgets in most of the places. Just do not forget to carry your adapter with gadgets.  Whenever you get the chance, you can charge it.

What about the communication facilities during Annapurna Round Trek?

You can enjoy taking over your mobile phone and surfing the internet in all places of Annapurna Circuit trek in normal condition.

Can I use my ATM/Credit cards during the trek?

The ATM vending machine in the rural area is not reliable in Nepal. As the mountain areas of Nepal are the remote zones, the ATM facilities are not available in the area. We highly recommend carrying the estimated amount of Nepalese currency in cash while trekking the mountain area.

What is the mode of payment for the Annapurna region Trekking?

We have set terms and conditions for the trip booking and mode of payment. Generally, it demands 20% of trip cost as an advance deposit prior to the trip for the confirmation. You can make a direct payment for the remaining amount in Kathmandu before the trip departs.

How to book the Annapurna Circuit trek?

We accept the booking in months in advance. Advance bookings are advisable to provide enough time for proper understanding and trip planning. The gap in duration provides you enough hours to make trip related queries. However, we also take the last hour looking for some people depending on the preparedness and group size.

What will be the walking distance per day?

The walking hours depend on one’s pace and physical fitness. Even the distances between all the camps are not the same. The gradient, terrain, and altitude affect your walking pace in the mountains. However, an approximate walking hours is 5-6 hours each day. You will cover 10-15km of distance per day during your Annapurna Circuit trek.

    once-in-a-lifetime experiences
